Need technical terminology

Hello All!
I'm seeking the proper name for these little centerline ends (tails). In following the precedence of lines, while creating multiple views, we align them .125 out from the endpoint of the line representing an edge (visible or hidden) and ,25 long.

If I'm understanding correctly
The cross at the middle is the "mark"
then you have a "gap"
then the "extension"
