Hello,

In Darcy's equation for velocity:

v=5.615*0.001127*k/mu*dp/dr

what does 5.165 account for? I know 0.001127 accounts for conversion to field units.

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with that version of D'Arcy (there are many versions), but 1 bbl = 5.61458 ft^3. Too much of a coincidence for that not to be what is going on.

"Belief" is the acceptance of an hypotheses in the absence of data.
"Prejudice" is having an opinion not supported by the preponderance of the data.
"Knowledge" is only found through the accumulation and analysis of data.
The plural of anecdote is not "data"

You mean that it is velocity conversion to ft/s?

God no. Where the hell did you get a velocity out of a simple volume conversion?
