Dear All,
i need Mechanical and Chemical composition for BS1503-224.430N material.
reply would be highly appreciated.

I believe, BS 1503:1989 has been WITHDRAWN & been replaced by BS EN 10222-1:1998, BS EN 10222-2:2000, BS EN 1022)

You may refer & check accordingly.
 

Carbon 0.20 max
Silicon 0.10 - 0.40
Manganese 0.80 / 1.40
Phos & Sulphur 0.040 max
Chromium 0.25 max
Molybdenum 0.10 max
Nickel 0.40 max
Copper 0.30 max
Niobium 0.01 - 0.06

Ni+Cr+Mo+cu = 0.80%

Supplied in various conditions.

Normalised, Normalised and Tempered - Tensile strength 430 - 550 N/mm2, Yield Strength 260 N/mm2 minimum, Elongation 19%, KV Impact 27 J minimum, limniting rulign section <=100 mm

Quenched and Tempered - Tensile strength 430 - 550 N/mm2, Yield Strength 245 N/mm2 minimum, Elongation 19%, KV Impact 27 J minimum, limniting rulign section >100 mm
