Need Interpretation of this symbol

Have never ever seen this symbol.

Could someone please explain to me what it means and where I can refer more details of it

Example: 1.000 ∠ 0.050


Since there is no datum given, am assuming it is not an angle on its own.

Seeking someone's expertise here

If it's an attempt to specify Angularity, it's wrong in any standard, you are correct on that.
From the format of numbers looks like it may use "plus or minus" sign. Could be an error, resulting from translation between different pieces of software.
Also could be indication of slope ("flat taper"), but missing some kind of ratio, like "∠ 1:100", looks like error again.
Just looks not right from any point of view.

Absent the context provided by some containing document or drawing, it could mean anything, or more specifically, nothing.
