220 volts 4000 rpms 12 amps
Are these the specs of an electric motor strong enough to propel an electric motorcycle ?
Help and recomendationtions greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

12 amps x 220 volts = about 2.5 kW input electric power, i.e. around 3 horsepower.

Do you want it to keep up with traffic? Or is this one of those traffic-clogging e-bikes that can't get out of their own way?

That is a lot of power for an e-bike. Adequate for a lightweight motorcycle. Inadequate for an average weight motorcycle.

As BrianPetersen noted, 2.5kW is not enough power for anything except a "personal mobility device". But 220V is also sufficient to cause physical harm, so you would need to be very careful with this electrical circuit.

Thank you for alll your help .

thank you for this topic, I had almost the same problem
