I'm trying to figure out the normal force needed to be supplied by the brake arms for a project I'm working on. It would be chrome rims and regular brake pads. I've found some (mu) values for chrome, but don't know where to find info to approximate the brake pads. Thanks.

Well, through rough experimentation, I found a value of 1.73. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks.
