I need some advice on what to charge for plans..
The job consists of drawings for an add-on. Basically it's a breezeway, being turned into an enclosed foyer. The city states it needs full plans, so I need to know how much to charge.
Thanks

Less than the next guy usually works.

Seriously I doubt there is a general rule, it pretty much depends on what the market will stand.

I guess I'd estimate how many hours it will take to do the work and multiply it by what you think your time is worth.

A drafting supervisor of my acquaintance estimated that his people could produce two drawings per day, regardless of size or complexity. That was before CAD, and included simple A-size sheets, too. I'd figure a day per drawing sheet.

In the case of an add-on, someone is going to spend at least a person-day, probably two, just measuring and sketching what's there already.
