Hello all and sorry I am not only new, but clueless but I need help. I am so clueless I don't even know what I don't know, nor what questions to ask.
I need to move water from a well (still being dug). Well is approx at 20m above sea level and I need to bring this water to a tank at approx 420 meters above sea level.
I will fill a tank (15,000 gallon or similar) so won't need this pump to provide excessive pressure, only to get it to this tank and fill the tank.
I have read about pressure and flow rates, but honestly I don't need any pressure, just water coming out of the pipe in order to fill my large storage tank. This is potable water by the way.
I have read about high-pressure, Centrifugal, and multi-stage pumps bump am really clueless as to which will do the trick.
As you might be able to tell, this is a new project so have full control over size of pipes to bring the water up, 2", 4", 6" etc...
Just need some guidance on where to go to get assistance on sizing and designing the right system for this.
I can get electricity to the well.
The idea was that the well pump (submersible and about 100m depth) would pump up to ground level and fill a smaller tank... say 5,000 liters or so.. and from there the next pump would move the water up the hill to the top larger tank.
Thank you so much for any guidance you can provide.
By the way, this is in Costa Rica and I run a nonprofit for Veterans, VictoryForVeterans.org and we're building a Wellness Center there to heal veterans from TBI, PTSD, etc.
Best,
Steve
