My lecturer uses notes for tolerance stack up (or quality chain as he refers) and I don't understand the terminology he is using or where he is getting his information[tt][/tt] from. Also, can't trace the resources for clarification of topics. The main topics are:
I have dimensioned the dimension and tolerance chain (see figure below). Is there any guide for obtaining unknown tolerances from a given bearing clearance and calculated nominal for the clearance (A-sigma) as shown:
I have tried reading bryan fischer book on tolerance stack up however no method is given on assigning tolerances for dimensions A1-A8.
