Greetings piping crew,
Working on installing some equipment for a client, and the equipment as delivered does not match the product info we were provided, and I'm running into strange fittings I've never seen before. The equipment was procured by my client through a French company, and various pieces were built in either France or Italy.
These are similar to a BSPP or ORFS fitting - but instead of an o-ring & groove,, the female fitting contains a PTFE washer with a very small groove cut in it. The male fitting provided is a butt weld schedule 10 stainless fitting with a flat face to mate with the PTFE ring, but the flat face has a very small full-perimeter 'ridge' to engage with the groove in the PTFE washer. If I pull the nut back on the female end and remove the washer, the end of the line has a flange to capture the nut, and the flat face (which would be on the back side of the PTFE ring) also has the full-perimeter 'ridge'.
Hoping for some help in identifying the standard used here so I can procure caps for these fittings to pressure test, and for some other needs.
