Dear all,
I'm using EXTENSION ZONE varaible under *CONTACT PAIR to consider the contact detection using the extended zone. As per the manual, it is given that the range is 0.0 to 0.2 and if we use ABAQUS CAE for solving, it will impose 0.1 as default.
Here my doubt is, if we use an extreme value of 0.2, is there any deviation in the results? I hope there should not be any change in the results since it only deals with the extension of the Master surface not with any artificial controls.
Still want to know about any adverse effects which effects in the deviation of the results. Please share your views.
Thanks in advance.
Brest Regards,
Prasad.
