I recently attended a one day seminar on ethics. The seminar was organized by our state board of engineers and land surveyors. It was given by Dr. Jimmy Smith, P.E.
Dr. Smith is with the Murdough Center for Ethics in Engineering based at Texas Tech University.

The seminar was great. I would recommend it to anyone. The seminar was discussion based and highly interactive.

The Murdough Center is related to the National Institute for Engineering Ethics. Their website ( is a great resource. The website contains real ethics case studies, videos that NIEE has produced (free for download in low res, for purchase in high res) and information on correspondence courses.

Nice link. I have at least one state in the US where I'm licensed that requires 3 hours of Ethics continuing education every three years so this will come in handy.
