Hi,

We want to translate our femap/nastran model into Ansys Workbench. We first export the solution from Femap in .dat file. After that, I created an Fe Model in Ansys Workbench with this file. But when I want to create the initial geometry from mesh, an unknown error appeared and suggest that we should change the tolerance angle. I changed tolerance angle to 5 and after to 90° and the error come back again...

What's wrong ?

Is is neccessary to create an initial geometry to enter in the simulation page ?

May I use Ansys classic instead of workbench ?

Hi

The initial geometry from FE-modeler is necessary if you want to go to Simulation in Workbench. In FE-modeler you can select ANSYS as target and exporting the CDB file.

I have an other problem. My RBE2 and CBUSH elements are not imported in my workbench simulation. Is it possible to translate them ?
