I need to estimate the 20%-NaOH solution flowrate required to increase the pH of a 10% phenol-water solution from 4.5 to 8.

do you know any calculation method or rule of thumb to estimate NaOH consumption? ?

thanks.

If you have a complete water analysis, you will be able to calculate the dosage. Without the water analysis, it is not possible to guess since the amount of buffering agents in the water are not known.

If you have a water sample, try a titration in the the lab.
