I am trying to find the dialectric constant for an aqueous solution of 25% NaOH (caustic soda). If anyone knows the dialectric constant and can tell me the document or source for it I would greatly appreciate it. I have found numerous sources with the dialectric constant various materials but I cannnot find the dialectric constant for aqueous NaOH.
Thanks,
Rich

The solution has high conductivity i.e. C measurement
is not a good way to measure concentration. Try spec.
weight.

I would try to measure ultrasound prop. speed, too.

Industrially the NaOH/Water solutions are routinely measured by conductivity but at 25 % w/w the conductivity curve is non-linear.

The real part of the dielectric constant is to first order that water, however the over all diectectric constant (including conductivity effects) will be much different and be frequency dependent.

Such properites are occasionally developed but you'll have to do the leg work to find them.
