Naming of Analysis File in FEMAP Using Local Solver? 1

General FEMAP/Nastran question:

I've been used to using VisQ with a remote solver setup where I could export the analysis file to a specific name (i.e. "200820_Free_Free_Modes_Check.dat") then send the analysis file off to the server and have nicely named output files created.

My new company uses local, embedded Nastran within FEMAP instead of a remote solver setup. In this case, my files names are written out automatically when I analyze as "MODELNAME-000.XXX". Is there anyway to specify a unique file name prior to analysis or even a way for me to solve using the VisQ process locally so that I can write out my .dat files with a descriptive/useful name?

I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find any information.

Thank you! [ponder]

Dear CH,
Is very easy, you can right mouse click in your analysis study and select EXPORT, this will open an MS-DOS window where you can enter your preferred NASTRAN input file name.
Next open the MS-DOS window where you can run the Simcenter Nastran solver simply using "nastran your-model.dat + nastran_keywords, etc..". You need to include the nastran solver in your PATH environment.
