Hi fellows

I have just stated reseach on behaviour of metals in thixoforming. I am facing the following problems
1) heat calcualtion equation and relationship of heat of fusion during cooling to a temperature to get a certain fraction of solid in melt(usually equations deal with moving solid boundry from mold surface to the centre not with a slurry).
2) the way to determin the solid fraction in melt at any temperature pratically.
3) effect of alloying elements on the heat of fusion of the base metal (e.g. Cu, Mn, Zn in Al metal)

can any body help me in this regard.
