When formulating an Assembly, Sub-Assembly, and parts and material. I set the cost for all the material and parts, to get a total price of that one assembly. My question now, is there a way I can just multiply that cost by inputting a variable somewhere or will I have just have to copy and past that assembly X amount of times?

example

3x Box Assembly cost $150

or

Box Assembly Cost $50
Box Assembly Cost $50
Box Assembly Cost $50

Total $150

You create a customized field, something like:
Column Qty -> Number1
Column UC -> Cost
Column TC -> Number2 customized Number1*Cost

TTFN

FAQ731-376

Have you tried creating Box Assembly as a Material Resource?

- Enter Box Assembly as a resource on your Resource Sheet.
- Click on the dropdown in the Type column and select material
- In the Standard Rate column enter 50
- On the Gantt Chart view, click on >Tools, >Assign Resources
- Box Assembly will now be listed as a resource. Under the units column, input 3.
- The cost will automatically be calculated for you at $150.

Hope this helps!!
