I recall a tip explaining how to have AutoCAD show the open drawings as separate tabs on the Task Bar. I did this for my v2009 installation and it was much better than AutoCAD's miniscule Drawings Button. Due to a hard drive failure I have been forced to reinstall all of my apps. I didn't document the tip and now I'm trying to find it again.

Anyone know of what I speak?

Type "TASKBAR" in the command line and set to 1 instead of 0.

Perfect! It's difficult to keep track of (and remember) all of the little tweaks that we AutoCAD users do over time. But they all come back to haunt you when you are forced to rebuild your system.

Thanks!

I use Turbocad - MUCH easier and cheaper than AutoCad and can read MANY file formats!

Good for you MiketheEngineer.

RHTPE -

And if you have a secretary - I can teach her in 30 minutes how to use it!!

And it will read AutoCad 2011 formats

I didn't think it could get any easier than Autocad.. How do you function in life when Autocad is difficult for you. :) :)

Okay guys - it's not appropriate to hijack a thread for the purpose of bashing one product when the original post asked a specific question about a specific application.

No one asked about which application is better.

Focus on the goal of this forum and offer opinions only when specifically asked for one.
