Dear All,

I would like to understand specific design safeguarding items about multi-head (dedicated head for each injection point) pump design:
a- does each head has its own diaphragm?
b- in case of failure of a diaphragm of one of the heads, would it be fair to initiate a shutdown of the complete pump (as part of the ESD logic). In other words, would a diapghram rupture in one of the heads cascade to the neighboring heads which mandate full shutdown of the package?
c- do you recommend initiating a shutdown in case of any head's diaphragm failure, or a high pressure alarm would suffice instead?

thanks
regards,

For using the multihued diaphragm pump, you should consult with the pump vendor for these real concerns for your operation. Each vendor may have a different design and procedure to deal with the failure of the pump diaphragm.
