Rather than thread jacking rfinch's thread I've started a new one.
I have a similar problem I need to solve, but it is in reverse to rfinch's.
I've been asked to design a sample probe to be inserted into a flowing vessel. The probe is to have a fixed number of orifices running perpendicular to flow at equal spacings along the length of the probe. I need someone to point me in the right direction for sizing the diameter of the holes so that an equal amount of gas passes through each hole and up the sample probe, thus providing a representatuve sample across the vessel to the analyser.
As we see it, the holes furthest from the flange connection will need to be larger than those closer to the flange. Is that correct?
If anyone can help point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
