Unfortunately, that's hardly new for California, whose wildfires have chronically caused mud and land slides over much of the past two decades.

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?

It's a bit like the spring flooding that now occurs in much of the South and Southeast, but more random, since most Californians don't think they're living on a flood-hazard area, until a wildfire marches through.

Since that large CZU Complex fire was 10 minutes from here a lot of locals are very nervous. We're all confused because we need more rain than the 1/5th our area's meager average offers that we've had so far. On the other hand we don't want too much as it will cause havoc on the steep burned out canyons with homes in them.
