MSE wall with fine grained soil

I am despeartely looking for case studies or failure/interaction analysis of the wire mesh reinforcement in a fine grained/cohesive backfill in a MSE wall. It is very urgent. I will really apppreciate if someone can help me out to find related articles. All I could find till now was with granular soils. Also, the discussion on the friction angle between the reinforcement and the cohesive soil would be useful too. Please respond ASAP. Thank you.

As far as I know, all MSE walls built in the USA are built with granular backfill. FHWA recommends it, AASHTO requires it and all the DOTs I know of follow these recommendations.
So I doubt you will find any case studies from the US.

Why don't you call a company like Tensar that engineers many, many walls. I would be surprised if they did not have information for you. Walls have been built with in-situ, fine grained soils. The unknown is how many were monitored and written about.

There is an article in the Transportation Research Record TRR No. 1414, published by the TRB (Transportation Research Board in 1993), titled "Internal Stability Of Reinforced Soil Retaining Structures with Cohesive Backfills" by Y H Wang and M C Wang of Pennsylvania State Univ. that discusses this subject of using cohesive soils for MSE wall backfill.
