Greetings everyone

I have a worn 7050 Aluminum Bulkhead structure (MS51990 lock ring outer serrations are completely worn out) a new lock ring cannot be installed.

Any thoughts about a good practice for producing new lock ring outer serrations in the structure ?!

I was dealing with Beam Seal fittings that had this locking feature. Here's a series of videos on how to cut this recess using different types of tools.

7050 Aluminum Bulkhead structure are completely worn out and a new lock ring can’t be installed, you might consider having the bulkhead re-machined to restore the serrations. A skilled machinist could potentially use a broaching tool or a precision milling machine to re-create the serrations. Alternatively, you might explore adding a threaded insert or using a custom lock ring that accommodates the worn structure. Consulting a specialist in aluminum machining would be a good next step. The link below contains more info.
Many thanks for those videos, my problem is resolved. :)

Edit: I would love to see more posts from you because you are very helpful :)

A LOT of info is missing from your post... The lock ring is used to stake-secure threaded insert or stud, etc in-place. WHAT PN is the lock ring securing?

Are You able to consider an oversized threaded insert or stud..

Etc.
