Hi all,

I am new to the MS Project Server 2003 and currently my company is thinking about setting one up. When I tried to get a pricing on the software, I was quote ~CND $43,000 for 35 users on all the software, which inlcude the following:

MS OFFICE PROJECT SVR 2003 LICENSE: $997.64
MS OFFICE PROJECT PROFESSIONAL 2003 LIC W/1 PROJECT SVR CAL: $1020.81 each x 30
MS OFFICE PROJECT SVR 2003 LIC (CAL) USER: $177.77 each x 5
MS WINDOWS SVR 2003 STANDARD LICENSE: $927.30
MS WINDOWS SVR 2003 STANDARD LICENSE DISK KIT: $31.24
MS WINDOWS SVR 2003 CAL LICENSE DEVICE: $37.34 x 35
MS SQL SVR 2000 STANDARD EDITION LIC: $866.63 x 35
MS SQL SVR 2000 CAL LICENSE DEVICE (CAL): $185.06

My questions are:

1. Do I need One CAL on Windows 2003 Server and SQL Sevrer 2000 each corresponding to one MS Project CAL?

2. The sales said I need the Project Professional LIC ($1020.81 one) in order to do editing (both online and local system), and the regular LIC ($177.77) is view only. Is it true?

Thanks!
