MRSA Results for Individual Modes 1

Does anybody know if RAM Frame can be used to provide MRSA forces for individual modes prior to combining them?

There is a way to do this.

First edit the ramis.ini file (located here: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\RAM Structural System)

Add a [Testing] block if there is not already one, then add these two parameters.

[Testing]
WriteDataToExternalDatabase=1
WriteDynamicDispForEachNode=1

Now, run your Ram Frame analysis with eigensolution and dynamic response spectrum loads. Be sure to check the box that says "Write Results to SQLite database." within the Process - Analyze dialog.

Return to Ram Manager and use Post processing – SQLite Report Generator to generate a report with the desired tables (e.g for Node_Dynamic_Displacement_table).

Note, this can take a while since it’s a huge amount of data.
