While repairing a transformer or even before an installation of a new MR Tap Changer.

What is the best way to store an MR Tap Changer. Tank with oil for storage is a good option? What other alternatives could I use?

The tapchangers are shipped as separate items, tapchanger, motor drive and drive shafts. The insulating parts are protected against moisture. The parts have to be stored in a dry place and the tapchanger must remain packed in its air tight protective wrapping , which should only be removed shortly before installation.
