Moving items from assy to assy

Working in SE20 and I have a problem. I have parts in a top level assembly, but I need them to be in one of the subassemblies. Is there a way to move them from one to the other without having to erase them from one and redo in the other?

Hi,

you can use the transfer function for this. See attached
image for the location. You have to select the part(s)
and then the function will become active

I'd play around on it a bit before doing your real model and saving it. I dont' think there's a good tutorial on it.

It's really usefull but if you don't use it often can take a little getting used to sometimes.

You can't just drag and drop?

No you can't drag & drop thank goodness.
Drag & drop is reserved for re-ordering.
To transfer or disperse it is a discreet command so there is no danger of accidently moving a part from one assembly to another.
