Hi, I'm having a hard time working with a assembly that is like this

Assy_A
->SubAssy_A
->SubSubAssyA
->Part
->SubAssy_B

when I work directly in the SubSubAssyA I can manage to move parts of it without problem but if I'm in the Assy_A or in the SubAssy_A and I have to move a part of the SubSubAssy the part move other parts in spite of there are any constrain and also the part "jump" for example is I want to move a part like 20mm this jump 50mm.

when you move something make sure move parents is toggled the way you need it to be
You may need to expand the menu fully to see where that is

In general, you can only move a top-level component of an assembly; i.e. if you select a single component of SubAssy_A to move while working in Assy_A, the entire SubAssy_A is selected and will move. If you need to move that single component of SubAssy_A, you have 2 choices.
[ol 1]
[li]Set SubAssy_A as the work part (and/or displayed part), select the component and move it to the new location.[/li]
[li]While in Assy_A, use the 'override component' option to move the component in SubAssy_A.[/li]
[/ol]

Option 1 will move the component in SubAssy_A. The new position will be in effect for any higher level assembly that uses SubAssy_A as a component.

Option 2 will move the component in Assy_A only. Assy_A overrides the position as defined in SubAssy_A; the new sub-component position will only be used in Assy_A.

The option you use will be dictated by your needs.
