I am currently using SE V10 AND have designed a test rig using alternate position assemblies. The alternate positions show the product travelling through the test rig at the various stages. Is there any way that I can create a movie of the product travelling through the rig in SE or do I have to use a third party package and if so any suggestions?(virtual studio only allows me to create static position movies)

This was discussed not long ago on the Solid Edge.misc newsgroup. (If you have a valid subscription, get a webkey and subscribe to the newsgroups).

The way to create your movie is through variable links, not FOA. If you have mates created appropriately, you can link the offset values of the mates and change them incrementally through the assembly file (again, some mates may have to be linked). As the mates change position you can create the movie at the locations.

I know this doesn't give you the How-To and you still have a lot of work ahead of you to get it to work. Hopefully, though, this gives you a direction that you can work from.
