Hi
I am modelling the electrical drive of an Industrial Robot. Now the robot need to be hold at positions for a longer time. The speed is zero at this point. My Physics Simulation engine, return the holding torque of the motor at these points. How do i convert these values to holding power
 
Mechanical power is torque times angular velocity. When holding, angular velocity is zero, so mechanical power is also zero.

The holding torque requires current, which will consume electrical power. Torque T = Kt * I. Electrical power consumed is I^2 * R.
