Most efficient methods of removing debris from product piping

We are utilizing a stationary manifold that is branched out with 20-30 channels that open and close for the delivery of petroleum products (mostly diesel). We are fairly caught up on the latest particulate filters and options in that realm, but I wonder, is anyone using any potentially less restrictive systems such as magnetic traps? I would love a magnetic trap because one of the biggest problems we have is with metal shavings obstructing other devices inline to our process. Is something like this used throughout the industry? I would love something modular, easy to clean and free of turning wrenches and large LO/TO procedures.

Tank bottoms catch most all of this. Metallics should drop out rather quickly. It does require some residence time before pumping into your process. Are you going from pipeline or other source directly into process? There are other serious problems if that much metal is flowing around.
