Experiencing vibration on a bank of ACHE's - 8 bays, 2 fans/bay. Moore Model 5400. Vibration is wearing away the attachment between the clevis and the blades, i.e., the clevis and EPDM mount is wearing. Does anyone have any similar experience with this problem?

First of all at what frequency are the fans vibrating at. This is very important. The cause of your vibration could be several things, ie unbalance, misalingment of sheaves (if belt driven), or misalignment across the coupling (if shaft driven), you could also be experiencing looseness (either component or structural). Did this all of a sudden appear, come on gradually, or is this a new application. There are several variables that need to be addressed. Please find out and post running frequency, number of blades, drive type, basically a little more info about the units. This will help out in diagnosis.

I am only interested in utilizing this forum to find previous occurrences of this type of wear/failure. I am not interested in providing all the specifics required to troubleshoot the problem. My intention is to correspond with those who have experienced this problem and then discuss their findings/resolution.
