Hi Everyone,

This is my first time joining an engineering forum and I am quite excited about it.
Recently, I started a wastewater treatment course which comprises, among others, a whole module about Membrane Bioreactors.
I would greatly appreciate responses to the following questions:
1. What are the most important parameters to monitor when using Membrane Bioreactors?
2. How the process adjustments are made in response to laboratory results? Are procedures in place?

Thanks in advance.

Q2 we can't help you with as that is a plant or organisation specific question.

With Q1 you need to do the homework and work it out for yourself. Think about the major processes that are carried out in an MBR and how they might be monitored for correct operation or effectiveness. You then have to work out which ones are the most important.

Thanks Ashtree, I appreciate you taking time to answer my questions.
For the first question I'll probably have to contact a plant to get an answer.
As for the Q1 I am gonna do my homework following your suggestion.
Regards.

I built a biodigester using polyethylene material for the bag. I seamed the open ends with heat. I put the bag in a pit. When I introduce some water into the bag the seam opened up and the bag started to leak. Does anybody know where I can buy a bag for my biodigester. Thanks
