Hi to everybody
I've a beam with a composite cross section with the lengh in x direction. The beam is oultined as shell elements.
I would apply along the beam a flexural moment depending on x coordinate.
In few words, you can imagine a ship where the difference betw buoyancy and load generate a distribution of moment along lenght. i would find a way to apply this distribution without using inertial loads and pressures.
It's possible
Thank you for your help

If you are using Patran, that is an easy job. Define a spatial field, and use it when you define the moment.

ok... if this will be outline with 1D element i could simply make a spatial field and apply the force on the nodes ( that repret center of shear in cbeam). ok.
but with shells ?
maybe i have to think in term of strains on each section...
