Moment calculation of semi-circular or triangular two-way slabs 6

I noticed that the BS8110 AND Eurocode2, suggested some tables of coefficients (Table 3.14) to calculate moments occur in two-way slabs. But they are rectangular, and further I noticed they can't be used if the slab length is more than twice the width.

What if I have a triangular or semi-circular slab? which are also somewhat common in buildings.

what are the methods to calculate moments in triangular, semi-circular and rectangular slabs? (not talking about design software)
 


Just sharing my experience ;

- draw the biggest dia. circle in the slab , then calculate the slab assuming one way slab with span dia of largest circle ,

- develop a FEM and see the effects if you need more refined calculation..






I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure..It is: Try to please everybody.

 
I would use a simple approximation, eg a one way strip through a representative area.
 
There exist no closed-form elastic solutions for arbitrary slabs. Your best bet is the yield line method or FE software.
