Please see the attached image to see a mathcad version of the Ruess formula, taken from a Dow white paper.
 
You can develop these for each specific polymer.
But even if you change the compounding too much they no longer apply.
And some polymers just don't follow these relationships.
It is much easier to actually test a sample and get a real number.
