Hi there,
I am configuring a modem connection to a Modicon PLC network of 984-A145 CPU's.
I need to use ASCII instead of RTU for comms via the modem.
Modsoft programming language offers 2 port configurations.
i.e. Modbus01 and Modbus02 port settings in the Config/Ports topic.
Due to practical limitations, the modem is to be connected to the PLC modbus port , configured as modbus number 12.
I have 2 queries ..
[1]What does the Modbus01 and Modbus02 refer to in the ports topic ?
[2]Is it possible to configure the modbus port on a 984-A145 CPU, configured as Modbus number 12, to be ASCII ??
All replies appreciated.
Thanks JB
