Modicon 984 with Inview Display

Hi, I have been given the task of integrating a 2706-P22R Inview display with a modicon 984 controller. My problem is I am only familiar with Allen Bradly processors. The display will connect to the controller using the rs232 jack and recieve ascii strings to download and trigger messages in the display. The display will not be preprogrammed with messages but will recieve the message and display as needed. In RSlogix I would load the message into a register and do a string concentrate to add the required header and then do another string concentrate to add the termination and trigger to the result. The final string would then be used with an ascii write funtion to display the message. I am hoping for help setting up some kind of ascii write function that has the nessasary header/msg/termination and then a trigger. Also, the inview has a set baud rate of 9600. What is the baud rate of the modicon and is it adjustable? Thank you
