MODEM CONFIGURATION

I am having, cyrix II 333 Mhz, with Via motherboard. for conenctions for internet, SM56 modem. Could any body tell me all the settings for effective connection of the machine on internet. Presently what happens most of the time that the ISP server stops responding and there is virtually no dat transfer on internet.

I had similar problem, try different dial up numbers of your ISP, also try different ISP, if that doesn’t works try reducing maximum speed, if that also fails replace modem.
