Does anyone have any useful publications or benchmark examples for conducting detailed finite element modelling of composite bonded joints. Any MSC Nastran exercises would be particularly useful.

Kieron, we model our laminate build up's on our proprietary software, however it analyses the ply build up, and ply stresses, and determines ply margins of safety, based on a Tsai-Hill calculation. It utilises NASTRAN load conditions.
Is it ply behaviour your looking at modelling?
