I am modelling tubular joints of Offshore Jacket with ANSYS to evaluate Stress Concentration Factor (SCF) on brace and chord.
I have read papers on Jour. of Struct. Engineer (ASCE) and same paper from LLoyds and DNV.
Have any one study SCF with FE analysis? I would like share and compare experience, in particular on mesh size, restraints, portion of the structure to be modelled etc, with others engineers.
