Hi! I i'm trying to model an 8-ply laminate in Patran, but for LS-Dyna solution. I have changed the prefered analysis code in PATRAN, and made the geometry and the mesh. The problem is when i'm trying to create the material and its properties. The only material model that is available for 2D orthotropic (for each layer), is laminated galss (MAT32). In this mat.model, the only possibility (i think), is to create glass layers and polymer layers, creating a laminated material. Instead, i want to create Uni-Directional composite plies) giving as properties E1, E2, etc, and afterwards, creating the prefered stacking sequence. Any ideas? Why can't i find other material models?
