Modeling steel beam to reinforce new openings in Two-way slab

I am modeling beams that frame out new openings in an existing two-way slab. When looking at the beam properties would I want to add the slab line release for both moment and shear so the beam acts more like a support and not bending with the slab since it is not composite? No sure what the slab line releases do, but the moment and shear diagrams make more sense when I release the beams for moment and not shear.
