Hi,
A particular problem needs a point mass to be connected to a body modeled using solid elements(tetra-4).If a spring element(of high stiffness so as to represent a rigid link) is used in Mechanica to model this , the rotational degrees of freedom at the point where the spring meets the solid must be supressed. I feel this is wrong since we are applying extra constraints other than the physical B.C'S. Is there any other method of modeling this in Mechanica?.Does Mechanica provide any other alternatives for springs/rigid links?.

Thanks,
TS
