model won't finish analyzing

I models a building....all columns are fixed at the base. The model runs and completes with vertical loads but if I put in lateral loads distributed on the frames it will not finish analyzing. Does anyone have any ideas?

by the way this is run as non-linear ...I have used SAP for about 10 years and have never had an issue like this

Does the log file give some info and/or error messages? Can you post here the .LOG file?
Did you activate all the DOF's? Or probably the construction is not geometrically stable?
