I think I've been staring at my problem for too long and can't see what is likely a blatent error! I basically have a steel pipe hitting a piece of softer material (supposed to represent a dummy). Contact is defined, so is ALE, and am running in explicit. I gave the pipe a displacement BC to move into the softer material. The analysis runs two steps before erroring-out, and I don't understand why. I can't seem to find anything in the message, data, or log files to indicate exactly why it is exiting. I have my input file attached. Can someone please download and run quickly to help me out? Thanks.
