I'm using the master model approach to make several 2D exploded views of a 3D assembly. I have configured these explosions in modeling by defining several model views. I have then imported these model views in drafting. The explosion is being displayed accordingly, at least as far as the position of the exploded components is concerned. In modeling I have hidden some of the componenents, however they are all being displayed in drafting. Why is this? Should I set the hide/show status in drafting views rather than in model views? If so, I guess the model view is than only useful to define the offset of the exploded components and not the hide/show status of these components?

Yes of course, result is as described...

Yes, you need to control the display of the Components at the final Assembly level. If you want the Components hidden in only one or some of the views, not all of them, then be sure to use the 'Hide Components in View' function rather than the general 'Hide' function.
