Hi all,
Need sanity check please.
Drawing templates created with company title block. I want model properties to fill all title block info. Edit sheet format and link to property option gives choice of "current document", "model in view specified in sheet properties" and a pull down to choose specific property.

1. What is "model in view specified..."
2. If I select appropriate file properties from the pull down menu, shouldnt that bind that title block space to that property from the model?

hotiron,

"Model in view specified" is the model in your drawing.

Yes, it will bind that note in the title block to the model but if you do not save the template file with that bind you will have to do it each time.

hotiron,

This topic comes up so much, I wrote up a couple of quick articles about it. Introduction to Custom Properties and Set up of Custom Properties for Drawing Template Use. These aren't like the definitive discussion on the topic, but enough to help someone that is exploring this methodology.
