I have a memory problem while running a modal analysis, multipass.

I don't know if the problem is only due to ram. I mean, before the analysis stops after some steps I have an error of 100% on frequency. My first question is: which can be the reasons for a modal analysis doesn't converge?

I run a quick check analysis with rigid mode searchand I don't have rigid modes. after the modal analysis I have to run a shock analysis based on the the previous one, but I think I can't trust the modes I get from a quick check modal analysis

Thank you

If you are facing memory problem and you are using windows then I would suggest you to increase the swap space. if it doesnot work then you will have to switch to a unix system as it would never crash for memory reason.

Thank you. I have almost 6 Gb of swap space now.

Next step I think to run a single pass analysis and hope it 'works' and look at the p-level. I don't know if there are other possibilities
